I did a driving surveillance patrol over by Colony Place. I parked drive forward, looking at the whole area over by Wal-Mart. I stayed for about five minutes so I won't look suspicious. I did all around the plaza. I didn't do the tire place because of the bright, open window. It would make me the odd man out. I looked at the area over where Sam's Club used to be. There was probably a down power line. I would make the call to 911, but someone like me calling about that in an abandoned area, would raise more questions. Overall, a great patrol and a learning experience.

March 29, 2014
I did a civilian patrol by Plymouth Center. I noticed a person taking pictures of the First Parish of Plymouth. Probably an advertiser for the church or the local news photographer. After a quick coffee break I headed on my walk. Nothing much to report other than the fact along the way, I noticed an open car door with two people talking on their smartphone, one male one female. It looked like they were texting and I don't think there was a thing for credit cards on smart-phones so it wasn't anything devious, presumably. A woman getting ready for her wedding was taking home her wedding gown. With the weather coming later, I hope it doesn't get ruined. I would've went to the corner, by Massachusetts State Police were at Memorial Hall with lights & sirens on. I detoured. Whatever there it was for the best, because I was a civilian & even if I was in my work clothes I haven't developed a rapport so that they can trust me with my knowledge & sleuthing. I do have detective skills, but all relationships take time to form and develop. As I crossed on the other side, I noticed a man in a blue hooded sweatshirt looking behind me. Best to remain silent, especially as he said hello to two men. I saw my old teacher (name confidential to keep privacy) as we talked about old times and today. Pretty quiet patrol, but working.

I patrolled the Waterfront. As I was getting out, I noticed a traffic officer walking my direction. I didn't want to make eye contact or there would be complications. There was construction for a sewer pipe on Water Street. The weather was brisk for late March. I covered the dock by the Mayflower II, where I noticed a man in a black leather coat, with a black knit hat with a white circle around it. I didn't want to get too close to construction so I crossed by Ziggy's. I walked into the parking lots of Plymouth Bay Winery & the Bradford Inn. Even though I can't look in, at least my hearing is pretty good. I noticed people on cell phones at least three different times. I don't want to jump the gun, but it tends to make one very nervous for those who are different. As I went past a fountain with lady Pilgrim on there, a family noticed an egg in the fountain. I do hate it when people prank on national treasures. A quiet, but good patrol, especially when tourism is going to start this season.

December 12, 2013: 5th Annual Toy Drive Part Two
I did a second delivery to Lifehouse Church in Middleboro, MA. I tried some experiments with my uniform to insure amenity. I went in and it felt like the red carpet with cameras flashing as I received a warm welcome. They asked me questions about myself, and answered the best I can. I was even pictured putting the toys by the tree. I received an ovation afterwards. It's thing like these that make me love my job that much more.

December 7, 2013; 5th Annual Toy Drive Part One
I started by giving a sack of toys to a Christmas tree farm in Plympton, Massachusetts for their Toys for Tots campaign. I received a huge amount of thanks. I got pictures with kids and delivering the goodies. I have high hopes as always. As well, I went to my old stomping grounds of Taunton to deliver something to the Patriots Cheerleaders, as a sign of thanks, not just to them, but cheerleaders in general. I donated and had a couple of photos taken. Yes, I did bow, but deep down, if you know me, they all deserve it. I hope both drives and the one next goes well. As well, I hope one day to go back to patrolling Taunton once in a while. I honestly love that city and always have it in my mind.

October 31, 2013
Did a driving patrol over at Plymouth Center. People in costume, traditional on this day. Saw everything from a well-done Joker, to someone dancing to Michael Jackson's "Thriller." However, I saw two young men with Army crewcuts walking down in army warm-ups, with combat boots, walking down with camouflage backpacks. Would've investigated for surveillance, but since it was crowded there was no place to park. I did a walking patrol at the Waterfront. Much quieter, unless you count the restaurants and pubs along the street. Saw two ladies and a girl carrying a doll of a ballerina mouse. I let them pass me, since they were the group was horizontal. Talked to a guy wearing a black cap, with red trim with the Saturn Cars logo. Saw him playing with his phone so I didn't bother him anymore. Saw a group of guys at the end of my patrol being dropped off. Looked like Macklemore look alikes doing the song, "Thrift Shop." Possibly Halloween, for a party. Good patrol.
